Abe's Ivy is a light transparent aquamarine color that can yield a variety of exciting hues, including metallic blues, copper reds, and sea greens. When reduced, this color can yield earthy reds and browns. Try encasing with Diamond Clear for other interesting effects. Or, back it with Bright White or Ivory. This color can be stretched thin, so it is well-suited for delicate blown work, stringer application, beads, sculptures and cane work.

Tips & Tricks: It has a high silver content and will react very quickly in the flame, so be careful not to over-reduce. We recommend use of a neutral-to-oxidizing flame when melting in order to achieve the most vivid colors. Then wave the piece back and forth in the flame to bring out the silver.
