The ORIGINAL BETHLEHEM BENCH BURNER, The PM2D is a powerful surface-mixed torch. The PM2D-QUAD has a special manifold that includes four independent fuel inlets to allow for foot pedal operation.The fuels mix at the face of the torch, eliminating the noisy flashbacks of pre-mixed torches. The center fire has 6 gas jets, and the independently operated outer fire has 60 gas jets. The face diameter is 31.8 mm (1.25") The soft, lazy flame illustrates the penetrating heat of laminar flow. Much quieter than agressive, hissy pre-mixed torches that waste oxygen and blow the heat past your work. This torch is quiet enough to work wide open and still have an easygoing conversation without raising your voice. The transfer of heat to the glass is incredibly efficient. Water cooling keeps the temperature of the torch body down, and extends it's life. Will work solid rod up to 44 mm, and tubing as wide as 80 mm.
