You can ensure a white Christmas at your house with a genuine Haberland ornament. The Haberland studio is like a Christmas dream. Ornaments are everywhere, in various stages of production. Glass tubing is warmed in a flame until it softens. It is then placed into a two part mold and blown. After cooling, it is placed over a forbidding looking vat and filled with warm silvering solution. Rinsed, dried and handpainted, the final step is the addition of small amounts of glimmer powder to heighten detail. Michael Haberland and his family have been carrying on this glass family tradition for three generations.
